About SADEQUAIN Foundation

SADEQUAIN Foundation USA is a not-for-profit organization registered in California, USA in 2007. It is dedicated to discovering, preserving, and promoting the art of Sadequain.

In pursuance of its goals, the Foundation has executed exhaustive research to locate thousands of previously unaccounted and undocumented pieces of Sadequain’s artworks in places as far flung as Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Middle East, Austria, Switzerland, France, England, USA, Canada, and many more places.

The Foundation has published twenty-five (25) books on Sadequain which document Sadequain’s life, his art and poetry, and his place in history. The Foundation’s book titled The Saga of SADEQUAIN is the largest book on the subject of art ever published in Pakistan.

The Foundation has curated more than one-hundred (100) seminars and exhibitions of Sadequain’s works, at museums and universities to raise awareness about his prodigious palette.

The Foundation supports research on Sadequain’s life and work, and provides authentication of his works supported by its history, analyses, and provenance.

Milestones and Highlights:

  1. The Foundation has published twenty-two books on Sadequain’s life and work. Some of the titles are (1) Rubaiyyat-e-Sadequain Naqqash, (2) The legend of SADEQUAIN – Renaissance of Calligraphic Art, (3) SADEQUAIN – Strokes of Picasso and Scale of Michelangelo, (4) Mystic Expressions by SADEQUAIN – An Odyssey to Exaltation with Ghalib, Iqbal, Faiz, and Sadequain, (5) Realism to Calligraphic Cubism – The Legacy of SADEQUAIN from Paris to Pakistan, (6) Ghalib and Sadequain (in Hindi), (7) Lost Trails of Sadequain’s Art, (8/9) The Saga of SADEQUAIN Volume I and Volume II, (10) Albert Camus and SADEQUAIN, and 6 books on drawings.
  2. Since 2007, the Foundation has held exhibitions of Sadequain’s artworks at Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto, Canada, San Diego Museum of Art in California, Pakistan Embassy in Washington DC, Pakistan’s Consulate in Toronto, Canada, at the annual convention of the Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, at the annual convention of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America (APPNA) in Washington DC, Australian High Commission in Islamabad, and many more venues.
  3. In February 2017, the Foundation established Galerie SADEQUAIN at historic Frere Hall in Karachi.
